Definition of Industry Terms
ACOUSTICAL FOAM:
Acoustic foam typically comes in squares or sheets, varying in size depending on the room to be soundproofed. A square or sheet of acoustic foam will vary in thickness, but all varieties of the foam feature a jagged landscape; because even surfaces tend to act as a soundboard for vibration, acoustic foam uses jagged edges and uneven surfaces to instead absorb sound waves and deaden them before they can reverberate, causing sound to travel farther and even cause echoes.
CONVOLUTED FOAM:
Convoluted foam is a synthetic textile made from polyethylene that is used as protective packaging and lining material for a variety of products.
CROSSLINK POLYETHYLENE:
Commonly abbreviated PEX or XLPE, is a form of polyethylene with cross-links. It is formed into tubing, and is used predominantly in hydronic radiant heating systems, domestic water piping and insulation for high tension (high voltage) electrical cables.
CUSHIONING:
When products need protection from vibrations and shocks, TCH is able to design a packaging solution that ensures the product can be transported safely.
EPS:
EPS is a thermal plastic material, expanded polystyrene. It is formed to make a dense foam that is ideal for creating form fit protection for the product.
EXTRUDED POLYSTYRENE:
Polystyrene (IUPAC Poly(1-phenylethane-1,2-diyl)), abbreviated following ISO Standard PS, is an aromatic polymer made from the aromatic monomer styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon that is commercially manufactured from petroleum by the chemical industry
FILTER FOAM:
Foam filters are air filters that use foam as the filtering material. Foam filters are made up of tiny interlocking cells that trap and distribute dirt particles throughout the entire volume of the foam.
FOAM:
The most general definition of foam is a substance that is formed by trapping many gas bubbles in a liquid or solid. A foam is normally an extremely complex system consisting of polydisperse gas bubbles separated by draining films.
POLYETHYLENE:
Polyethylene or polythene (IUPAC name polyethene or poly(methylene)) is the most widely used plastic, with an annual production of approximately 80 million metric tons. Its primary use is within packaging (notably the plastic shopping bag).
RIGID FOAM:
There are 3 types of rigid foam board insulation they are; polystyrene, polyisocyanurate and polyurethane.
URETHANE:
Urethane is a plastic compound that's more flexible and weather-resistant than natural rubber. This compound is used for making speaker surrounds.
CONTOUR FOAM CUTTING:
This simple computer cutting machine is mainly used for block foam abnormity cutting, two or three dimensional polyurethane foam or similar materials, as adopt special frame movement and worktablerotate, has a good advantage of occupying area small(only half the area of the same style cuttingmachine), product efficiency high(the efficiency is the same style several even decuple), cutting exact, operate easily(junior high school workman can operate freely after training), so product widely used inmodern commercial varies field, such as heat preservation materials, furniture, mattress, packing and other industrial usage.
